  • Basic profile info (user.info.basic): Your TikTok Open ID, display name, and avatar. Used to identify the authorized account within our scheduling tool.
  • Extended profile info (user.info.profile): Your profile link, bio description, and verified status. Used to display account context in the scheduling dashboard.
  • Account statistics (user.info.stats): Follower count, following count, likes count, and video count. Used to display performance metrics in the dashboard.
  • Video data (video.list): Titles, descriptions, and metadata of your posted videos. Used to display your content history in the scheduling tool.
  • Content posting (video.publish, video.upload): Allows our tool to upload video content to your TikTok account, either as a draft (upload) or as a direct post (publish), at your direction.

3. How We Use Your Data

Data collected through TikTok is used exclusively to operate the content scheduling and posting features of our tool. Specifically:

  • To authenticate your TikTok account and maintain a secure session
  • To display your account information and post history in our scheduling dashboard
  • To publish or upload video content to TikTok on your behalf, only when you initiate or schedule a post
  • To display analytics and performance data within the dashboard

We do not sell, share, or transfer your TikTok data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

TikTok access tokens and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption (Fernet) and stored in a local database. Tokens are never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all communications with the TikTok API.

5. Data Retention

We retain your TikTok tokens and profile data only as long as your account remains authorized. You can revoke access at any time through your TikTok account settings under "Manage app permissions." Upon revocation, tokens are invalidated by TikTok and we delete associated records from our database upon request.

You have the right to:

  • Revoke our app's access to your TikTok account at any time via TikTok settings
  • Request deletion of any data we hold associated with your account
  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
